With the fifth Indiana Jones film released in theaters, Let’s rank all the films.

Feel free to sharing your rankings down below in the comments section.

5. “Dial of Destiny”- Bottom tier due to poor pacing, underutilization of “legacy characters”, and obnoxious female sidekick in Phoebe Waller Bridge. Also the artifact twist doesn’t work.

4. “Temple of Doom”- Middle tier because of “heart extraction” scene and whiny female love interest in Willie Scott. Positives: mine cart chase and Short Round-Indy friendship.

3.” Kingdom of Crystal Skul”l – I found the Crystal Skulls to be a fascinating artifact. The aliens or “Interdimensional beings” were silly but fun as a homage to sci-fi B movies. I’m glad that Indy and Marion finally got married. Just wish that relationship wasn’t ruined in the latest film. The film has a few flaws but still enjoyable to watch.

2.” The Last Crusade”- The father son dynamic between Indy and his father Henry Jones Sr is a treat to watch. The scene with the villians and Indy picking out the “Holy Grail” chalice feels straight out of a videogame based on the Knights of Templar. After making your selection, the knight says “You have chosen wrong” or “You have chosen right”.

1. “Raiders of the Lost Ark”

This film is the perfect introduction to Indiana Jones himself and the world around him.

Also, nothing beats hearing that John Williams score. It’s timeless.

Not to mention the famous boulder scene is still riveting today as it was then.

In conclusion, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Last Crusade are at the top followed by Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Temple of Doom in the middle while Dial of Destiny is at the bottom.
